
In a spectacular evening filled with elegance, emotion, and empowerment, Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, India. The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant, held on Saturday, brought together 108 contestants from across the globe in a dazzling culmination of a month-long celebration of beauty, culture, and advocacy.
Hosted by former Miss World Stephanie Del Valle and Indian television host Sachiin Kumbhar, the event marked a historic moment for India, especially Telangana, as it welcomed international delegates to its land of rich traditions, warm hospitality, and timeless heritage.
✨ From 108 to 1: A Journey of Grit and Grace
Contestants competed in fast-track events including Top Model, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent, Sports, Multimedia, and the Head-to-Head Challenge. These filtered the participants to 40 quarterfinalists, then a regional Top 10, followed by the Top 5 and finally, the Top 2 from each continent.
Miss Thailand captivated the judges not just with her poise and beauty but also with her authenticity. In a thought-provoking Q&A session, actor Sonu Sood asked her about the power of storytelling and responsibility. Her winning response:
“We must become people our loved ones look up to. No matter how far we go, our actions should always speak louder.”

Beauty with a Purpose Shines Bright
Miss Indonesia, Monica Kezia Sembiring, won the “Beauty with a Purpose” round with her impactful project Pipeline for Lifeline, addressing water and sanitation needs in underprivileged areas.
