As we approach the milestone 30th anniversary of the PlayStation, we’re thrilled to celebrate this incredible journey with our fans, developers, and the entire gaming community. The PlayStation story began on December 3, 1994, with the launch of the original console, and since then, we’ve grown through five generations of gaming consoles. Today, we are excited to introduce the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, a special edition that fuses nostalgia with the future of gaming.
Honouring 30 Years of Innovation
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection pays tribute to the first PlayStation console, featuring limited edition designs inspired by the iconic colours of the original PS1. This collection offers a rare opportunity to experience the legacy of PlayStation while enjoying the cutting-edge technology of the PlayStation 5. Every element in this collection reflects 30 years of innovation and passion, driven by the love and support of our fans and developers.
The highlight of the collection is the PlayStation 5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle, which includes a console with a massive 2TB SSD and Wi-Fi 7 in selected territories. This limited edition PS5 Pro not only boasts the original PlayStation colour scheme but also comes with specially crafted accessories: two DualSense controllers (standard and Edge), a charging station, a vertical stand, and a console cover for the disc drive (sold separately). Each bundle will be individually numbered, representing the date of the first PlayStation launch – December 3, 1994 – and is available in a limited run of just 12,300 units.
For those who prefer the digital experience, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle is also available. This bundle includes a console with 1TB SSD, a matching DualSense controller, a vertical stand, and limited edition collector’s items like the PlayStation Shapes cable ties, a unique PlayStation poster, and a nostalgic PlayStation controller-style connector housing.
Both bundles come with collectible items that pay homage to PlayStation’s past, including a PlayStation paperclip and a PlayStation sticker. These little touches remind us of the playful spirit and innovation that PlayStation has brought to the gaming world over the last three decades.

The PlayStation has undergone incredible development. PlayStation has continuously been at the forefront of gaming innovation, from the early days of 300,000-pixel displays to the immersive 4K resolutions with over 8 million pixels, from stereo sound to the 3D audio experience, and from basic button controls to sophisticated haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

Limited Availability and Pre-Order Information
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection will be available starting November 21, but pre-orders begin on September 26 for those with a PlayStation Network account through direct.playstation.com in select regions. If the official PlayStation store isn’t available in your area, participating retailers will also offer pre-orders from October 10 for the Digital Edition.
Additionally, standalone products such as the PlayStation Portal Remote Player and the DualSense Edge Wireless Controller will be available to purchase as part of this anniversary release.
